Children's Grief Awareness Day is designed to help us all become more aware of the needs of grieving Children, and of the benefits they obtain through the support of others. Children's Grief Awareness Day is an opportunity to make sure that grieving children receive the support they need.
Please join Carlynton School District in raising awareness for Children's Grief Awareness Day by wearing blue with us on Thursday, November 21st!

Student Opportunities
Are you considering a career in Patient Services, Advance Practice, or Radiation Therapy? Consider joining UPMC's Career Cafe! UPMC's monthly career café can be joined virtually, or students can in person at the UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center, where they will have refreshments!
CCAC is seeking high school students ages 14 to 17 with an interest in pursuing a trades career to participate in the Skilled Trades Academy. The program will take place at CCAC’s West Hills Center and consists of five courses:
- Oct. 12 & Oct. 19 — Electrical
- Oct. 26 & Nov. 2 — Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning
- Nov. 9 & Nov. 16 — Solar Photovoltaic
- Dec. 7 & Dec. 14 — Commercial Driver’s License
- Jan. 11 & Jan. 18 — Welding
There is an application process and financial need is considered as part of the eligibility requirements. Applications will be reviewed through October 9th. Free Admission for Kids in October and November! All kids ages 17 and under receive FREE admission to the Heinz History Center and Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum throughout October and November, thanks to support from community partners UPMC and UPMC Health Plan. Regular admission applies to visitors ages 18 and over.
