Volunteer Application Process (Raptor)
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Carlynton School District. Volunteers provide important support to our students and school programs. Prior to submitting a volunteer application, all candidates must review the Volunteer Code of Conduct and School Board Policy 916: Volunteers.
All volunteers must be approved before participating in any school, classroom, activity, or event.
Step 1: Submit the Online ApplicationSchool Board Policy 916: Volunteers.
All prospective volunteers must complete the District’s volunteer application through the Raptor Volunteer Application Portal.
Step 2: Upload Required Clearances
Applications will not be reviewed or approved until all required documents are submitted. Clearances must be current (issued within the past five (5) years).
Required clearances include:
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114) if required*
*Volunteers who have been PA residents for the entire previous 10 years may submit an Unpaid Volunteer Affidavit instead of the FBI clearance, consistent with state guidance.
Step 3: District Approval Required
Volunteer applications are reviewed by the Superintendent or designee. Submission does not guarantee approval.
You may not begin volunteering until you receive an approval email through Raptor.
Timing Reminder
To ensure timely processing, applications should be submitted before the start of the school year or at least three (3) weeks prior to an event.
