Curriculum and Course Scheduling Readiness:

  • All students and their parents are highly encouraged to attend our first annual Curriculum and Workforce Development Night. Scheduling for the 2026-2027 school year will begin at the end of January. This event will provide students and parents the opportunity to visit our high school course electives fair where teachers and students will be available to provide informational sheets on courses, display posters about elective courses, and answer individual questions about courses. The high school course electives fair will be held in the high school cafeteria where participants will have the flexibility to visit the tables to learn about the specific course electives of interest to them.

Workforce Development Readiness:

  • Join our Transition Coordinator, Mr. Jerry Pepe, to learn about career planning, workforce development opportunities, and specific information from the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. The OVR assists individuals with obtaining, maintaining, or advancing employment through personalized services, including vocational guidance and counseling, goal setting, creating Individualized Plans for Employment, job placement and more. Thirty-minute informational sessions that will include a presentation and time for Q & A will be held in Room 110 at 6:30pm, 7:00pm, and 7:30pm.

College Readiness:

  • Join our Jr./Sr. High School Assistant Principal, Mr. Joseph Rossi, to learn how to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FASFA is a crucial, free form that determines student eligibility for federal, state, and college financial aid, including grants, loans, and work-study, by collecting your financial info (income, assets) to calculate your need and eligibility for aid like Pell Grants, federal student loans, and work-study funds, as well as many state and school-specific scholarships. Thirty-minute informational sessions that will include a presentation and time for Q & A will be held in Room 109 at 6:30pm, 7:00pm, and 7:30pm.

Free Refreshments and Door Prizes Available:

  • Refreshments will be served in the cafeteria throughout the evening.
  • Door prizes – each family will receive a raffle ticket for attending. Multiple prizes will be drawn such as gift cards and Carlynton swag items!

Free Shuttle Service to and from Event:

  • No ride – no problem! Free transportation (shuttle buses) will be provided to and from Carnegie Elementary School throughout the evening. Beginning at 5:30pm, shuttle buses will operate on a 30-minute cycle to take participants to the event and then back to Carnegie Elementary.
