• After the online pre-registration form is submitted, a notification will be sent to a  school official to review, process, and approve or reject your pre-registration. This can and will only occur during the school day. 
• Please allow up to two school days for your pre-registration form to be processed. Please note, pre-registration approvals may be delayed during the summer months due to planned PowerSchool outages and system updates. Please allow up to five business days during the summer months. 
• Once your pre-registration form is processed and approved, you will receive a  confirmation email from Carlynton School District’s PowerSchool with instructions that include details for the next steps for your student registration. Please check your spam/junk folder for this email.

• Once your pre-registration form is processed and approved, you will receive a  confirmation email from Carlynton School District’s PowerSchool System. This email will contain instructions on how to set up a PowerSchool Account. In addition, this email will contain your Access ID, and Access Password.
• If you already have a PowerSchool account, use the Access ID and Password below to link your new student account 
• If you do not already have a PowerSchool account, you can set one up by doing the following: 

1. Open the internet browser on your computer 

2. Type https://carlynton.powerschool.com/public into the address bar. 

3. Click on "Create New User" Tab 

4. Fill in the information requested for your desired username and password.

5. Enter your student's full name, Access ID and Password (this information has to be entered exactly as it is typed in the email. It is recommended to copy the information directly from the email and paste to ensure its accuracy).

1. Login to your PowerSchool Parent Portal: https://carlynton.powerschool.com/public/home.html
2. In PowerSchool, select the student you are enrolling.
3.  On the left hand side of the screen you will see a Navigation Menu. Click the “Forms” link within the navigation menu.
4.  Then click on the Enrollment tab at the top of the page.
5.  Complete all of the forms located under Enrollment (Form A to Form Z).

According to Pennsylvania School Code and Carlynton School Board Policy, the following items MUST be presented at the time of student enrollment:
 

Proof of Child’s Age:

Any one of the following constitutes acceptable documentation:

• birth certificate;
• notarized copy of birth certificate;
• baptismal certificate;
• copy of the record of baptism – notarized or duly certified and showing the date of birth;
• notarized statement from the parents or another relative indicating the date of birth;
• a valid passport; or
• a prior school record indicating the date of birth.

 

Two proofs of the parent/guardian residency from the approved list below

Any one of the following constitutes acceptable documentation:

• a deed,
• a lease,
• current utility bill,
• current credit card bill,
• property tax bill,
• vehicle registration,
• driver’s license,
• Department of Transportation identification card; or a
• A piece of mail sent by the federal or state government such as benefits information, voter registration, or tax documents

 

Immunization Records:

Any one of the following constitutes acceptable documentation:

1. either the child’s immunization record,
2. a written statement from the former school district or from a medical office that the required immunizations have been administered, or that a required series is in progress

Note: If you do not have your immunizations at this time, you can still complete the registration process. Your child will not be permitted to enter school without the required immunizations or proper exemption documentation

 

Other Optional Document Uploads:

  • Physical Examination Documentation
• Court-ordered custodial agreements (if applicable) 
• Special education paperwork (if applicable) 

 

Upon submission/completion of the online enrollment forms, the information is reviewed by a school official. Families will be notified by email or phone if any required information or documentation is incomplete or missing.
